Driving
Fossil Basin is in southwestern Wyoming, located just a little over 30 miles north of US Interstate 80 along US Highway 189. No matter where you’re driving from, the scenery on the way to the Kemmerer-Diamondville area will be beautiful. From Yellowstone National Park, take US Highway 191 south through Grand Teton National Park and Jackson, WY. Coming from the south, west or the east, most routes will take you on US Interstate 80, where you will exit between Evanston, WY and Green River, WY.
